I am new to the fifth wheel experiance, and just bought a 2012 Redwood RL and Ford F350. My next step is to install a Winegard traveler dish (self seeking model), but am not sure where to run the control wires for the dish. Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with this?

We also just purchased an RW36RL in September.  We also boaught the Winegard satelite dish that is the self seeking model.  It is enclosed in a small white dome about 12 to 14 inches in height.  I had it installed while we were still at the dealership and it took the technician about 1 1/2 hours to do the installation.  There are two cables running from the dome which is mounted just in front of the 2cd air conditioner about midway on coach..............one appears to go about 4 feet to just above the closet by the entrance door...........the other cable runs back towards the rear of the coach above the entertainment center.  Both cables appear to be routed into two seperate roof vents.  The control switch was mounted, in the closet next to the main control panel, by the entrance door.
I haven't tried to connect a Dish receiver to the antenna yet..............plan to do that in the spring.

I have been amazed at well the "off air" antenna and amplifier works with the two Toshiba TVs.  In the 3 different locations we stayed at this fall I was able to pick up a minimum of 7 to 10 different channels.

Hope this gives some small insight into the installation.  Good luck.

We're planning to order our 36RL and I've been e-mailing with a Factory Rep about having the control line and 4 coaxes installer during mfr of the unit.  We have DirecTV and will have the Winegard SK3005 SlimLine Dish installed which has four outputs, 2 for the LR DVR, 1 for the BR Rcvr, and the 4th info the Basement for a RCVR and TV for outside viewing.
